What is Red Lemon Club?

Red Lemon Club is united by what makes us different.

We are artists, writers, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

We are a hub for ideas on standing out (like red lemons) and making the most of our creative potential.

The philosophy here is all about owning what makes us different, rather than rejecting the ‘weird.’

We all have a plenty of weird in us, and to uncover it is to be our real, confident, creative selves.

Who started it?

I’m Alex Mathers, a nomadic writer and illustrator, currently based in Bangkok, Thailand.

I started out drawing pictures as a young man, then promptly hid at the back of the classroom during school. Then I studied Geography, before eventually turning to creating more pictures, writing, and helping others make the most of their creative skills by sharing with them what I’ve learned, through plenty of mistakes.

I’ve worked with clients like Google, Sony, Mars and the BBC.

I have written several books on attracting clients and standing out, and have written for 99u, Design Taxi, Computer Arts, Six Revisions, and Digital Arts.

I do some speaking, and have spoken at ICON Conference in Texas, OFFF festival in Barcelona, Behance in Tokyo, Ilustratour in Spain, DXSaigon in Vietnam, and the AOI in London.

My personal site, where I share mostly illustrations and drawings is here.
